How many bridesmaid are too many? 6 Bridesmaids, 8 Bridesmaids, 10 Bridesmaids???

Over the past 2 months I have noticed a trend of 6-8 bridesmaids in a bridal party, sometimes even 10, some brides might say this is too many. While for others with large families and a wide circle of friends with over 100 guests up to 8 bridesmaids is a perfect number! In saying this I had one order for a bride with 12 bridesmaids, 4 maids of honor and 2 flowergirls.

From experience, popular gifts for these large bridal parties were single pearl bridesmaid set variations in white and ivory, pictured below. I asked some brides about their choice in gifts and reasons varied from:
  • that bridesmaids could wear these long after their wedding,
  • wedding bridal party budget,
  • find all bridal party jewelry at the same place,
  • simplicity in design,
  • matching bridesmaid dresses, etc..

These brides say the hardest part of planning was getting a bridesmaid dress that they all liked, suit them, that they were happy wearing those dresses and complimenting her wedding dress, thankfully most said the gifts were sometimes easier to choose.. Word of caution from some brides was 'don't take them all to go bridesmaid dress shopping at the same time.'

With accessories, some bridesmaids skins are sensitive, so to save that additional stress my jewelry is perfect for people with allergies or chemical sensitivities, as all my ear hooks and chains are carefully crafted with hypoallergenic supplies.

Last year the number was 4-6 bridesmaids, mostly personalized gifts, though having said that, personalized flowergirl jewelry is still largely popular! Especially the initial pearl bracelet for flowergirls, very popular, even on this year's christmas gift list, see picture below..

So if you think 6-8 bridesmaids are too many, quite a few brides have managed to do it all in the last 2 months and its down personal preference. Don't worry about how many bridesmaid are too many or with what others say! Do what you feel most comfortable with.
