Preparing for my market

Earlier this month I prepared for my first market stall I was so nervous and began to think of a theme color , black white and gold...

For my necklaces I took my husbands old cork pin up board (no longer using it in the office), and covered it with black cotton-knit fabric, using a staple gun to secure at the back as two of the pictures below.

I'll cover my earrings frame in the next post...

My first ever market stall - Madam Sparrow's market, Gold Coast, Australia

I had my first ever market stall on November 4, 2011 at Madam Sparrow's Market in Musgrave Road, in Southport on the Gold Coast. http://www.eventfinder.com.au/2011/madam-sparrows-market/gold-coast It is held the first Saturday of every month, although I may not go every month, as I am studying Management..

This stall went better than expected, sold about 5 items and when I attended the second market I sold on my kissing birds, branch and bird lariat and tree necklaces ! Also the $5 earring market fillers that I made from my left over beads, head pin cutoff and chains, were a hit ! Next markets are on 3 and 24 Dec 2011. I will then be attending the first Saturday in April 2012 again..
Here are some pics of my first stall and set up:
